Do I have to pay import duties and customs?Updated 2 months ago

If you are located outside the EU, your order may be subject to VAT and customs duties upon arrival in your country. In such cases, you will be responsible for paying these import duties and taxes.

Please note that GLAS has no control over these charges. Because fees vary between countries, we cannot predict the exact cost in advance. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, we recommend contacting your local customs office.

Within the EU
All relevant import taxes and duties are already included in the product price. You will not be asked to pay extra upon delivery.

United States (as of August 29, 2025)
The U.S. has ended the de minimis exemption. This means all shipments, regardless of value, may now be subject to customs duties and import fees. Previously, orders under USD $800 were often duty-free, but this is no longer the case.

United Kingdom
For orders above £135, customs duties may apply. These charges are displayed at checkout.

Switzerland
All orders are subject to import duties, which are calculated based on the total order value.

Important Note:

All standard customs charges are already included in your order total at checkout, except for the US — GLAS handles these expected costs on your behalf. However, if you are charged more than what was deducted, please contact us at [email protected] and we’ll gladly help reimburse the difference.
